Frequently asked questions

How do I edit a photo?

Open Filmode, tap to import a photo from your library (or shoot one with the live LUT camera), then pick a film look from the filter strip. Tap Adjust to fine-tune exposure, contrast, temperature, grain, and more. Every change is non-destructive — your original photo is never overwritten.

How do I save or export my edit?

Tap Save / the export button to write the graded image to your Photos library. Your edit is also kept in the app as a project, so you can reopen it later and keep tweaking. From the share sheet you can send it to any app.

Is Filmode free? Are there ads?

Filmode is free to download and comes with a set of filters and the live camera, with no ads and no tracking. Filmode Pro unlocks all 35+ cinematic LUTs and pro adjustments — available as a one-time Lifetime purchase or a Yearly subscription. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple.

I bought Pro but it's not showing on my device

Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase.
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases.
Lifetime and subscriptions both carry across your devices via your Apple ID.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Yearly is an auto-renewing subscription managed by Apple. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone to change or cancel it. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. The one-time Lifetime purchase never renews.

Does it work offline? Are my photos private?

Yes. All editing and camera processing happens on your device — no account, no server, no upload. Your photos and projects never leave your iPhone. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Where are my projects stored, and how do I clear them?

Projects (your images plus their edit settings) are saved locally in the app. Delete a project inside the app to remove its files. Deleting the app removes everything at once.

What do I need to run Filmode?

An iPhone running a recent version of iOS. You can also try the live LUT camera on any device straight from the browser — no install required — via the web camera.
